Sisig is one of the best Filipino ulams and one of my fave too! It’s most likely to be meat – pork, chicken or bangus or tofu. But when I saw this recipe from my then officemate, I was ecstatic! Two of my favorites in one – salted egg and sisig. 💓
So, I immediately asked for the ingredients and how to’s because I want to really try it! As I share the pictures in social media, a few asked for the recipe. So here it is, not an original recipe but this is my own version.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 Salted eggs
- Liver spread (optional)
- Long chili/labuyo
- Parsley (optional)
(Peel and cut the veggies. Peel and mash (a little) the eggs.)
1. Put oil in a pan and saute onions and tomatoes.
2. Add in the salted eggs. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Mix in liver spread and mayo. Combine well. Remove from heat.
4. Add long chili and garnish with parsley and chicharon on top.
